For My Father and Mother
Lessons From My Father
When I was but a child
My dreams were torn away
The man I loved the most
Went home with God to stay
I was but a child
But it was plain to see
The life that I once knew
The same would never be.
His strong but gentle hands
Guided me along
They taught me love and courage
And taught me to be strong
They taught me life’s not always fair
But strong I must remain
For love of home and family
Is what will help sustain
The lessons that he left are here
Deep within my heart
The foundation of my life
They’ve always been apart.

When my mother passed away I knew there would always be a special Angel watching over me and that if I needed to talk with her she would hear me.
When
I’m no longer here
And
God has called me home
Please
don’t be sad
For
you are not alone
A
guardian angel then I’ll be
Looking
down from above
I’ll
spread my wings ever so wide
And
wrap you up with love
When
times of sadness
Fill
your heart
Know
that I am there
Though
we may seem miles about
My
lasting love will be clear
So
listen with your heart
And
my voice will be strong
Please…
don’t be sad…
For
you are not alone
